The birth of Celia’s third child was particularly difficult. 10 years later he had forgotten nothing and wanted to testify.
Today, Celia is a divorced single mother of three. Though her dreams of a close-knit family have been dashed, she has managed to find her balance and is very happy with her tribe.
Difficult Married Life
“My husband and I had a conflicted relationship throughout our pregnancy,” says Celia. That third child was still desirable because it was the husband himself who told her he was ready for a new child.
I was very surprised by this request, I really believed that he didn’t love me for a long time. I was about to tell her I wanted a divorce.
The young woman begins to have doubts. “I couldn’t understand how he could have another child if his feelings for me didn’t exist!”
Finally, Célia questioned herself and realized that she was asking too much, she no longer saw her husband’s gestures of love. “So, to my delight, the baby’s third project began.”
He went into labor
“It was 10:30 pm when my kidneys started to hurt. I worked late that day and the kids watched a cartoon while I cleared the table.” Celia went to bed for a few minutes thinking she had a backache after a long day at work in heels.
“The pain went away and then came back. It was my third pregnancy, so I knew right away it was labor. I went to my husband to tell him we had to go to the delivery room.” Her husband’s answer left her speechless:
Damn, I’m tired, I’m going to bed.
“I really went to bed,” said the young woman. She then decided to put the kids to bed and then go to the maternity ward.
An eventful trip to the delivery room
He: “Your suitcase isn’t even packed yet.”
Her: “I’ve been asking for the baby clothes to be taken from the attic for a month, I can’t reach them with my stomach.”
The two eldest join their parents and the box is taken down from the attic.
I was trying to find baby items when my water broke. The contractions were very painful and my husband kept complaining that I was damaging the floor. My oldest son, who was 7 at the time, looked me straight in the eye and said, “Mom, why are you peeing? And there I explain to him that the baby is in a pouch full of liquid and that when the baby is old enough to be born the pouch will break etc. My son immediately replies, “But then my brother will fall!”
A Thought, Calm My Children
My son asked me if I was dying. I have to admit it was the first time I looked at my face because I swear I looked good in front of the kids. Well, I confirmed what the midwife told me – it shows in the face when the contractions start -. I was very white and ringed, a bit like I got the gastronomy of the century.
Before going to the delivery room, Célia calms her babies who are staying with their father in the waiting room.
express delivery
Everything goes very quickly. An hour and a half elapsed between the first contraction and arrival at the maternity ward. Celia’s third child was ready to be born. The midwife took over for the father in the waiting room so that he could watch the birth.
At 12:07 am my son, my little James Bond (related to 007), is in my arms. I immediately asked that the elderly could come to him to ease their worries. The crew was really nice as babies are usually not allowed in the delivery room.
The children met their little brother and found a happy mother.
I was happy, relieved that everything had gone well. But all the stress of the birth and my husband’s constant whining “When are we going to get a room” “I’m tired, I’ve had enough” “I want to go to bed” and “I’m not going tonight” drove me to realize that my relationship was truly dead. I was fortunate to have three wonderful children who will now be my purpose in life.
